Possibility of conducting inter second year examinations

Hyderabad: The Telangana government is likely to conduct intermediate board examination for second year students which was postponed due to spike in COVID-19 cases in the state.

It was previously announced that inter-first year students would be promoted to second year without examination and second year exam will be postponed.

According to report, the state government may conduct inter examination as per the scheme of the Central Board of Secondary Education.

A high-level meeting was organized by Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday to discuss the CBSE examination for class 12 and the entrance examination for professional courses.
As per media reports, most of the states / union territories are in favor of the CBSE Class 12 board exam and its date and the format to be announced on May 30 by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.

“Almost all states fought to conduct the exam, but with vaccination precautions for students and staff.

In Telangana, we will move forward without changing the existing pattern.

The exam time will be reduced to 90 minutes. The possibility of conducting the examination from mid-July to September was discussed, “Omar Jaleel, Secretary, Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education attended the meeting.

All the participants have been asked to submit their proposals in writing to the Union Ministry of HRD by 25 May.
