Inter second year Students demands cancellation or online format

Hyderabad: Students across Telangana sparked a Twitter storm on Saturday, demanding that the intermediate second-year exams be cancelled or the state held it online.

The students were unhappy after the government announced the postponed of examinations from May 29.
The government said that the matter would be reviewed in the first week of June due to the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic.

The online protest comes as a response to the statement of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) Secretary Omar Jaleel that the examinations will continue as there is no change in the pattern of Intermediate Board Exam 2021.

Nabeela of St Ann’s College, another inter second year student, said students should be promoted on the basis of their internal assessment or on the basis of marks obtained in inter first year. “Conducting the examination should also not be taken care of as the country’s COVID-19 situation is the worst.”
