Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 1,811 new COVID cases on Friday taking the total number of positive cases to 2,10,346 in the state.Nine new deaths are reported on October 9 the overall deaths till date 1,217.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 291 new cases . While Rangareddy taking the total number of new positive cases 138. Districts of Telangana is rising rapidly in increase of new positive cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 171 new cases and Nalgonda with 108 new cases.
The number of recoveries were 2,072 from the infection on friday taking the total number of recoveries to 1,83,025. As per the government the recovery rate stands at 87.01% which is approximately 1% higher than the national average of 85.7%.
On friday the government has tested 50,469 positive cases for the citizens.
Till now 35,00,394 samples have been tested in the state,the overall count.Samples tested per million population stand at 94,046. Still, 1,236 reports are awaited. 22,206 primary contacts are tested on Friday while 6,056 secondary contacts are tested.
Currently the state holds 26,104 active cases. From the overall active cases 21,551 are under home isolation.From total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 21 and 40 years contribute to 29.98 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 8.85 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
