Hyderabad : Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad points to the medical negligence in treating the patient. A woman who is the president of “Woman’s Cell” spoke about the negligence standing at the doors of Osmania General Hospital.
The authorities are taking bribes from the patients ,it says it is a government hospital and free treatment is given but here the patients are struggling with lots of problems. They come to hospital hoping they get a good treatment but there seems to be nothing as such..! The patients are asked to get done the CT scanning and other tests from private hospitals. The authorities are sending the patients to some other private hospitals are the complaints given by the patients of Osmania General Hospital. There are alot of poor people who come to this government hospitals because they cannot afford for private one but here it’s seems to be everything neglected by the hospital authorities.
A patient suffering from Brain Hemorrhage since 1 and a half month the treatment is going on and here the authorities are discharging him for every 2 to 3 days and asking him to come back for the treatment is so triggerring because the poor patient has no proper food for a day and how will he be able to afford for the rest of the chargers every day. All this is disturbing to the patient’s mental health and they try commiting suicides.
The Govt of Telangana has neglected the basic facilities provided for the patient. Osmania hospital which once a number one referral hospital and now lies in a very neglected condition. Dead bodies are been laid on the floors. Many of the patients have complained about the facilities , tests and the other things but there isn’t any action been taken against it.
One of the patients guardian has also gave complaint in AfzalGunj PS regarding the bribes taken and the facilities they have just told action will be taken on it but so far nothing happened as such.Even though lots of media highlighted the poor condition of the hospital and nothing has happened to Osmania general hospital. The general public is requesting the State Government to look into the issues of the hospital and provide them the nessecary facilities.
