New four link roads opened in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Monday inaugurated four link roads that connect vital road stretches in and around the IT corridor.

The link roads that were thrown open for commuters include Nizampet crossroads to Hitex junction, Miyapur Metro Depot to Kondapur Masjid Junction link, Novotel Hotel road connecting the RTA office link and JV Hills Park to Masjid Banda road.

Speaking on the occasion, the MAUD Minister said that so far 16 link roads in the city were already developed and six more link roads would be developed soon.

“These roads will decrease the traffic congestion in the city,” he said.

Rao mentioned that roads play a vital role in the city’s development and 133 link roads were being developed in a phased manner. A series of infrastructure works were taken up under the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) with a cost of Rs 6,000 crore and Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Limited (HRDCL) is also developing 22 link roads with Rs 313.65 crore.
