Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force (South) along with the Bhavaninagar police raided a (tobacco)zarda manufacturing unit at Edi Bazaar.
On Monday night seized banned tobacco products worth Rs 5 lakh. Based on a tip-off, the police raided a house at Kummarwadi in Edi Bazaar and found one person Mohd Arif along with Mahboob Alam and Moin preparing the banned zarda and packing it in small boxes. “The product was later supplied to customers in the market which is unlawful,” said S Raghavendra, Inspector Task Force (South). A case was registered by the Bhavaninagar police against the three persons.
