Hyderabad police trace over 66 mobiles phones.

HYDERABAD: City Police commissioner Anjani Kumar has informed police that a complaint about lost cell phone or document can also be given at Mee seva centres, apart from reporting them online through Hawk Eye App and directly visiting the police station.

On Tuesday, Anjani Kumar handed over 66 traced cell phones to their owners at the commissionerate building in Basheerbagh. During the press conference organised about the event, Anjani Kumar mentioned that people can report about lost cell phones even at Mee Seva centre.

“Many citizens have been reporting about lost documents through the Mee Seva centres. I want people to also know that they can report about lost cell phones also at the Mee Seva centre Police Verification, Police Clearance Certificate, No Objection Certificate and Renewal of License for Business Establishments also, one can apply at Mee Seva centres,” Anjani Kumar said.

The 66 traced cell phones were reported lost at Bahadurpura, Hussainialam, Madannapet,Kamatipura, Kalapathar and Charminar areas.Complaints lost their cell phones mostly at vegetable markets and shopping malls. We are maintaining a register about lost cell phones with IMEI and phone numbers of the complainant. In theft cases we are registering FIRs and for lost cell phones, we are tracking them through IMEI number and cell phone numbers with the help of service providers. People can report about lost cell phones even through Hawk Eye app and Mee Seva centres,” South Zone DCP Gajarao Bhupal said.
