Hyderabad: A French woman living at Rajendra Nagar in the city was found murdered. Her body, packed in a gunny bag, was found near Gandipet lake on Saturday.
The police have detained a woman, Roma, who was earlier living with the victim Marie Christine, and her husband for questioning. The police suspect that the couple killed the woman for her property.
Marie Christine had been living in the city for a long time. She was staying with Roma after her children moved out. Recently, Roma got married and had been quarrelling with Marie, demanding a share of her property.
Two days ago, Marie’s daughter tried to contact her mother but received no response. She came home but could not find her mother. She approached the police and registered a missing person case. The police then detained Roma and her husband for questioning.
