Heavy rains expected in telangana for the next 72 hrs.

Hyderabad: Telangana is all set to witness another bout of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next three days as the deep depression in Bay of Bengal has intensified into cyclonic storm ‘Gulab’ on Sunday morning. The cyclonic storm, currently lying at about 180 km from Kalingapatnam, is expected to move westwards and make a landfall near Kalingapatnam, to cross the coasts of north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur this evening.
Under its influence, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected at many places in the State with heavy to very heavy rain at ISOLATED places for the next 24 hours. Thereafter, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places with heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places for next two days.

The Met officials have issued an
orange alert and advised people not to go out and stay indoor. Heavy to very heavy rain is expected over the districts of Jagtial, Nirmal, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhongir, Jangaon, Warangal (Warangal Rural), Mahabubabad, and Khammam.More likely, moderate to heavy rain is expected over Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Medak, Siddipet, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Yadadri Bhongir, Jangaon, Warangal (Warangal Rural), Mahabubabad, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet and Nalgonda districts. Light to moderate rain is expected all over State.
Since Saturday evening, Mamakannu in Gundala mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem has witnessed highest rainfall of 12.3 cm in the State, followed by Pochampalli in Karimnagar district with 6.3 cm. Kunaram in Peddapalli district and Avunuru in Rajanna Siricilla district recorded 6 cm rainfall. Due to the heavy rains, life came to halt in several parts of the State. Road connectivity got snapped at many places in rural parts of the State, due to overflowing streams and canals. Electric Power supply was stoped throughout the night in several places. However, it was restored on Sunday morning. The officials have been put on alert and were asked to extend all help to the people living residing in low-lying areas in their respective districts.

At least three teams are making efforts to track him down. The channels lead to the Neknampur tank located at Rajendarnagar.
