Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested an Assistant Engineer, TSSPDCL for accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.
Bhukya Madhukar, Assistant Engineer, TSSPDCL, Nagole-Bandlaguda, LB Nagar, Hyderabad was caught when he demanded and received a bribe amount of Rs.15,000 from complainant R Pradeep Kumar Reddy, Private Electrical Contractor of Nagole in Ranga Reddy district.
The accused had demanded the bribe to forward the work completion report to the ADE, ICSC/TSSPDCL, Saroornagar (Autonagar), ACB told in a release.
The money was recovered from the paper bundle wraped and kept on his table. A chemical test conducted on the portion of the paper bundle which came into contact with the bribe amount yielded positive results.
The accused performed his duty improperly and deceitfully. Bhukya Madhukar was being arrested and produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE & ACB Court here, he added.
