Hyderabad : Amjed Ullah Khan the Ex-Corporator and Spokesperson of Majlis Bachao Tehreek in Hyderabad Listed out on the loss happened in the past few days. As the heavy rains hit in Hyderabad which led to alot of loss and damage.
Amjed Ullah Khan says October 2020 will be remembered as the black night in Hyderabad. Before Oct 13 itself there were rains in the state and the lake’s like Balapur lake, Gurram Cheruvu and the other water bodies were full with the sewage rain water. Even after the Meteorological Department predicted heavy rains in Hyderabad for 3 to 4 days and the Government has not taken any initiative regarding this in controlling the situation before hand and being precautious. There was no DDRC meeting or any survey’s being conducted by the state government.
On 13 October when it started to rain heavily the casualties have been reported. The 1st casuality reported was 8 people dying of a single family in Ghouse Nagar Bandlaguda. The 2nd causality reported was from Taher Qureshi’s family 9 members of their family being washed out in Ali Nagar. The 3rd tragedy was in Shamshabad were as 4 people of a single family.
Upto 2nd day of rains 50 have been washed out in the floods but the government has given a count of only 15 people and more the 50 have been washed away. The actual study behind the rains hitting Hyderabad in harder is the water bodies being grabbed and sold to the poor people. When Congress Government came in 2004 to 2014 when Mohammed Ali Shabir was the city in charge Minister and MIM was the partime personel of the AIMIM the land grabbers were from the these parties and when the Telangana Government and Congress Government were into power the land grabbers have got too many ways to grab the land of the water bodies and sell it to the poor people stated by Amjed Ullah Khan.
Amjed Ullah Khan says when the Balapur Bund was full the Government should have taken nessecary precautions to evacua operation completely and the people should have asked to vacate to the safer places and made temporary arrangements for the people but no action as such was taken into consideration. And the water lashed out into babanagar washed it out and 100crores have gone in vain… jewelries,money important documents and vechiles everything got washed away.
Amjed Ullah Khan demands for CBI enquiry to be done regarding the babanagar tank bund breaking because it holds a mistery and the real culprits should be caught.
“When there was an emergency for one of the citizens and needed an ambulance it nearly took 5hours for the ambulance to reach the spot” Where are the 100 ambulances gifted on KTR’s Birthday ?
