Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has made explosive allegations against NCB officer Sameer Dawood Wankhede accusing him of resorting to extortions in a case related to Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Shradha Kapoor.
Speaking to media, Malik said, “Sara Ali Khan was called (for questioning), Deepika Padukone was called, Shradha Kapoor was called. Till today, there has been no chargesheet. Neither the case is being closed. Why is that the case has not come to its conclusion even after 14 months.”
Malik, who’s been continously exposing Wankhede accusing him of using his position to extort money, said that the controversial officer had deliberately kept the case related to Sara, Deepika and Shradha open.
“Thousands of crores of rupees have been extorted using these cases (against Sara, Deepika and Shradha). I said that extortion was conducted in the Maldives. I even shared photos (of Wankhede) from Dubai and the Maldives. He ran away saying he never visited the Maldives and Dubai,” Malik added.
Malik also shared screenshots of a WhatsApp chat, which he claimed was between Sameer Wankhede’s sister Jasmeen and a drug peddler. He wrote, “Screenshot of the whatsapp chat between Yasmeen Dawood Wankhede (sister of NCB official Sameer Dawood Wankhede) and a drug peddler. Question arises, is this morally, ethically and legally right ?”
Malik had earlier shared photos from Jasmeen’s Instagram to claim that both she and Sameer Wankhede had visited Dubai and the Maldives to extort money from Bollywood stars.
In September last year, the Narcotics Control Bureau had summoned ace Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone for questioning in connection with the drug racket case. The central government agency had also summoned Sara Ali Khan, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Kedarnath.
The NCB is facing criticism for arresting Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in a bid to extort money from the Bollywood superstar. An NCB witness, Prabhakar Sail, had claimed in a written affidavit that Sameer Wankhede was meant to be paid Rs. 8 crore in the Aryan Khan’s arrest case.
