Husband chopped into pieces by wife’s lover in Telangana

Hyderabad : Two days after a dismembered body was found, Ramagundam police on Monday cracked the gruesome murder and arrested a hospital worker for allegedly killing his lover’s husband. Inspired by Telugu movies — Detective and Naa Peru Shiva— the accused severed the body parts of the victim and dumped them at various places in Peddapalli district to prevent police from tracking him down.

The accused, P Raju, is a sweeper at a hospital in NTPC, Ramagundam. According to Ramagundam police commissioner S Chandrasekhar Reddy, the accused Raju was having an affair with his 31-year-old co-worker from Khajipalli near NTPC. The victim was the coworker’s husband, K Shankar, 41, a local MeeSeva worker.

On November 25 night, Raju invited Shankar to his house to discuss about their differences. “Raju made Shankar consume alcohol and killed him by attacking him on the head with a beer bottle. He then severed the body into seven parts and threw them at different places like he saw in some movies thinking it will prevent police from arresting him,” the commissioner said.
Police recovered the severed parts from Bugga temple road, Sapthagiri Colony and near Mediapally graveyard on Sunday and they have arrested Shankar’s wife
