123 Tulas Gold worth Rs.1 Crores Recovered from Thiefs by Banjara hills Police

Hyderabad : The Banjara Hills Police cracked a Grave Theft of Gold Ornament wg about 143 tulas wherein labor gang of 4 members who were native of Nagar Kurnool District were arrested and recovered 125 tulas gold ornaments worth of One Crore rupees from their possession.

THE LIST OF THE COMPLAINT: Facts of the case are that on 10-10-2020 at 1400 hours received a complaint from Ajay Kumar Agarwal, partner of VS GOLD, # 5-9-29/3, First Floor, Opp Petrol Pump, Liberty Cross Road, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad stating that on 09-10-2020 in the evening hours he had sent their Sales Executive Pradeep Kumar Bodake to Krishna Jewellers Pearls and Gems situated at Road No.36, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad to collect their stock on the two-wheeler vehicle. At about 18.00 hours his sales executive Pradeep reached to Krishna Jewellers Pears and Gems collected the gold ornament wg about 143 tulas and at about 19.00 hours when he reached near Kangaro Kids school, Road No.03, Banjara Hills he met with an accident and lost the gold ornament bag. Due to heavy rainfall and storm, a gold ornament bag with a cell phone got untraceable. Basing on the above complaint registered a case in Cr.No.661/2020 U/Sec 381 IPC and DI Mohd Hafeezuddin has taken up the investigation. During the course of the investigation, kept the call details of the stolen mobile and perused it and it is revealed that the stolen mobile was switched on at Jagathgirigutta on 12-10-2020 and immediately off. Basing on the last location the crime team proceeded to Jagathgirigutta and verified all the mobile shops situated at Jagathgirigutta and after stern efforts trace out stolen mobile and with the help of CC Cameras apprehended the accused persons on 21-10-2020 and recovered 125 tulas gold ornaments from the possession of the accused persons.

MODUS OPERANDI: The accused A-1 Govt. Niranjan who is a native of Turkapally (V), Amrobad(M), Nagar Kurnool Dist used to work as daily wage labor at his village, and due to nonavailability of work, he is suffering from livelihood and as well as financial crises and stoppage of the construction work of his house. As such the accused A-1 and his son G. Ranjit Kumar (A-3) migrated to Hyderabad to overcome their financial needs and staying in the Huts situated at Road No.03, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad and started his livelihood by collecting garbage in the localities and after collecting the same he sold to the scrap vendor. After some time he informed the same to the accused A-2 & A-3 and met themselves and hatched a plan to dispose of the gold ornaments to overcome their financial crises/debts and as well as completion of their house construction pending work at their natives. Further, the accused A-1 to A-3 went to their relative’s house A-4 M.Venkataiah who was residing at Yellammbanda and kept the stolen property at A-4 residence for disposal purpose. Further, the accused A1 given the stolen Cell Phone to a mobile repair shop at Jagathgirigutta, among the stolen gold ornaments 18 tolas gold ornaments are sold by the accused persons to unknown road passer-by taking some amount and used for it lavishly. APPEAL TO PUBLIC: The public/gold merchants are hereby cautioned that while carrying a huge amount of gold ornaments while traveling in the vehicle, please keep it in the vehicle in a safe manner and further advised don’t go out in heavy rain except in an emergency. The case is being investigated by Sri. Mohd Hafeezuddin, Detective-Inspector of Police, SI G. Bharat Bhushan along with his crime team with the guidance of, Sri. KS Rao, Asst Commissioner of police, Banjarahills Division, and Sri. R Kalinga Rao SHO, Banjarahills PS under the Close supervision of Sri. An R Srinivas, Jt. Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Hyderabad city.
