Hyderabad : Justice Ujjal Bhuyan of Telangana High Court granted bail to BJP state president n Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay. Police lodged him in prison three days ago after foiling his protest against GO 317. On 2nd January a Karimnagar court had sent Sanjay to 14 days judicial custody.
The BJP chief had proposed to take up Jagarana Deeksha (overnight protest) from 9 pm on January 2 to 5 am on January at his office in Karimnagar town against “controversial” government order, GO 317, issued by the TRS government to enable an “arbitrary zonal transfer policy” affecting the interests of state government employees. Several teachers and government employees have been up in arms against the K. Chandrashekar Rao government. The protest by the BJP chief was to express solidarity with the agitating state government employees.
