Hyderabad : In a shocking state of affairs, Mahesh Babu’s brother and actor Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu breathed his last on Saturday (January 8). He was 56 years old. As per media reports, He was suffering from liver-related problems for a long time. Confirming the news of his sudden demise, film producer BA Raju tweeted, “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Ramesh Babu garu. He will continue to live on in our hearts forever. We request all our well-wishers to adhere to the COVID norms and avoid gathering at the cremation venue. – Ghattamaneni Family”
According to Reports to the reports, Ramesh had been suffering from ill-health over the past few weeks. As his health deteriorated on Saturday evening, his family members shifted him to Gachibowli AIG where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Ramesh Babu made his silver screen debut in 1974 with ‘Alluri Sitaramaraju’. Later, he went on to share screen space with both Krishna and Mahesh Babu in various Telugu films. Although he cut off himself from the craft since 1997, he turned a producer in 2004 and bankrolled films like ‘Arjun’ and ‘Athidhi’, which have become blockbusters at the box office.
Several Telugu film celebrities and actors from other industry expressed shock over his sudden demise.
