Telangana: New voter id cards to be distributed on january 25.

HYDERABAD: Voter ID cards will be circulated to newly registered voters on January 25 on National Voters Day. The summary revision of enrolment of new voters was taken up for those who have attained the age of 18 years with reference date being January 1, 2022.
Following instructions from the Chief Electoral Officer Shashank Goel, the administration is gearing up for issuing the EPIC cards.
According to Ranga Reddy district officials, a voter kit will also be given which includes a personal letter, a voter guide, a pledge and the EPIC. The cards will be collected from the CEO in Hyderabad on January 17 and taken to the districts for distribution. In Ranga Reddy district, 4,217 new voters have been registered, according to District Revenue Officer Haripriya. CEO Shashank Goel had a video conference with all district collectors on January 12 about the voters enrolment and distribution of cards.
Jagtial District officials said the revised voters list was prepared on January 5, including the names of those who have attained the age of 18. In the three assembly segments which fall in Jagtial district, a total of 2,412 new voters got registered and they will get their voter ID cards on January 25. CEO Shanshank Goel has also advised officials to take measures to either send the voter ID cards by post or get them delivered through the gram panchayats.
