Covid19 Hyderabad National Omicron Telangana

Telangana reported 2,447 active covid-19 cases and 3 fatalities.

Hyderabad: The steady rise in daily Omicron variant Covid-19 infections in Telangana has continued with health authorities on Monday reporting 2,447 positive cases out of which 1112 were from areas under GHMC. The health authorities have also reported three Covid-19 deaths on Monday, taking the overall number of deaths in TS to 4,060.
The fresh Covid-19 positive infections in Telangana, as on Monday have increased to 22,197 out of which close to 20,600 active cases are from areas under GHMC.

Apart from Hyderabad, Omicron driven Covid infections are also registering a significant increase in other urban centres with authorities reporting 235 cases from Medchal-Malkajgiri and 183 cases in Rangareddy district on Monday. Authorities have also reported a spike in Warangal with 80 positive Covid infections from Hanamkonda, 73 from Sangareddy, 68 from Mancherial and 63 from Khammam.
The health department conducted 80,138 Coronavirus tests on Monday out of which results of 10,732 samples were awaited. On Monday, 2,295 individuals had recovered with a recovery rate of 96.31 per cent.

So far, a total of 3, 07, 09,658 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 7,11,656 have tested positive and 6,85,399 persons have recovered.
