Hyderabad : Hyderabad-based entrepreneur GAR Group’s Amarender Reddy has appeared in the list of top 10 real estate billionaires in India. Currently, its net worth is Rs. 15,000 crores.
According to the latest Grohe-Hurun India Real Estate Rich List 2021, Reddy is in ninth place on the list. He emerged as the richest new entrant on the list.
Currently, his company owns 10 million square feet of office parks in Hyderabad. It also started building another 8 million square feet of office space.
Six individuals from Hyderabad made it to the GROHE-HURUN India Real Estate Rich List 2021. Apart from G. Amarender Reddy and family, who ranked ninth, the list included Rameswar Rao Jupally and family of My Home Constructions who ranked 11th with an estimate of Rs. 9,140 crore; C. Venkateswara Reddy of Aparna Constructions and Estates ranked 22nd with Rs. 5,360 crore; S. Subramanyam Reddy of Aparna Constructions and Estates ranked 23rd with Rs. 5,300 crore; Manoj Namburu of Alliance Group/Urbanrise ranked 31st with an estimate of Rs. 3,300 crore; and G.V.K Reddy and family of Taj GVK Hotels and Resorts ranked 78th with an estimate of Rs. 460 crore.
India is now home to 12 real estate billionaires, compared to just five in 2016 and DLF’s Rajiv Singh is the wealthiest of them all with a total wealth of Rs 61,200 crore, according to the latest Grohe-Hurun India Real Estate Rich List 2021.
