Former IPS Officer AK Khan, Son Mohsin Khan & Cong Leader Shabbir Ali Booked for Cheating a Business Man

Hyderabad : Senior Congress leader Mohd Shabbir Ali, Former IPS officer A.K Khan and his son Mohsin Khan, have been booked by Hyderabad police in a cheating case. A K Khan is currently the advisor to the government of Telangana on Minority affairs. Following a direction from a local court in Hyderabad, Punjagutta police booked the trio under section 465, 420, 406 of Indian Penal Code and r/w 156(3) Cr.PC. Complainant Mohammed Abdul Wahab, (51yrs) Residence of Tolichowki, moved the court after he suffered a loss of Rs 90lakh.


Believing that he was the son of a senior IPS officer who earlier served as the commissioner of police – Hyderabad and the son-in-law of a former minister, Abdul invested Rs 90 lakhs in the business.


According to Md. Abdul Wahab, Mr.Mohsin Khan claimed to be the managing director of Sunlit Mines Private Limited (SMPL) registered at Banjara Hills. He alleged that he was made to invest ₹90 lakh with a promise of multi-fold returns in the sand mining business in 2016. However, there were no returns and Mr. Mohsin Khan was unavailable for communication.

However, for over three years beginning 2016, Mohsin failed to pay profits to Abdul. Frustrated over the delay, Abdul insisted for the amount, in contrast to which Mohsin threatened him citing the names of Shabbir Ali and A. K Khan.
