Hyderabad : The officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday caught the sub-inspector Laxmi Narayan of Gandhinagar Police Station red-handed while accepting Rs 30,000 bribe from a complainant.
According to the ACB, Gandhinagar Police Station SI Lakshminarayana demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a complainant in connection with a cheating case. Later, they agreed on Rs 30,000.
The complainant approached the ACB officials on Wednesday after the sub-inspector demanded the bribe to solve a Cheating case. The officials laid a trap and caught the SI while taking the bribe. They recovered the bribe amount and collecting more information from him.
