Mahabubnagar municipal commissioner’s Caught Red Handed by ACB, 27 lakhs Found in Bank Locker.

HYDERABAD: Vadde Surender , A Municipal Commissioner of Mahabubnagar district was caught red-handed on Oct 22 at his office by the ACB officials taking a bribe of Rs 1.65 lakh from a complainant Ali Ahamed Khan . A press release issued by the ACB here on Wednesday said that a locker at the Indian Overseas Bank in Hayathnagar, held in the name of Surendar and his wife, was raided in which their assets were found. 

He has been arrested for taking bribes by the (ACB) Anti Corruption Bureau. Along with 27.42 lakhs cash, gold and silver ornaments were found in the locker. The gold ornaments as weighed 808 grams worth Rs of 17.24 lakh and silver ornaments weighing 71 grams worth Rs 1,280. The locker was used very regularly by Surender and his wife.

In Telangana on October 22, a binge of raids carried out by the private detectors of ACB . As he fell into a trap laid by the Officals. According to the ACB, the officer demanded bribe for an official favor that is to forward the quotation of the complainant to the collector for approval of new chlorination plant in the district municipality.He is arrested and now the accused is produced before the special court for ACB cases.

As the traps laid another person Hanumanth Rao Naik serving as a Deputy Executive Engineer in Suryapet,was caught in taking bribe of 2.25L from a complainant Riyasat Khan at Uppal’s Indoor Stadium. Hanumantha Rao reportedly demanded graft to check measurement in respect to the work executed by the complainant in measurement book and forward the same to his superior. The ACB arrested Naik and produced him before the special court.

The officials appeal to general public to dial 1064 toll free number to register a complaint against tainted officials.
