More than 12 thousand cases filed for lockdown violation: Mahesh Bhagwat

Hyderabad: Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh M. Bhagwat on Tuesday urged citizens to observe proper behavior during the four-hour relaxation in the lockdown.

The Commissioner, along with other senior police officiers, was speaking after participating in a route march that had the special police, mounted police and the traffic police from Dilsukhnagar to LB Nagar covering the fruit market, Rythu Bazaar and other areas.

Bhagwat warned against not wearing masks, not following physical distance, and taking strict action against those responsible for the big gathering.

He said that such people would be prosecuted under the sections of the Disaster Management Act and IPC.

“The second wave of the covid-19 can certainly be prevented by strictly following the proper behavior of the covid.

Since last week, we have registered 12,394 lockdown violation cases, ”Bhagwat said, adding that there were 46 check posts with 3,000 police personnel working in three shifts.
