Kothagudem: A 45-year-old man has allegedly killed his mother for refusing to give him money to buy liquor at Ramachandrunipeta village of Dummugudem mandal in Bhadradri Kothagudem district late night on Friday. The accused is at large and a manhunt has been launched for him.
The accused, Kalluri Narasimha Rao reportedly came to his mother K Pagidamma’s (75) house at the village in a drunken condition at around 11 pm and had a argument with her seeking money to buy liquor. When she refused to give him money, he forcefully hit on his mother’s head with a stick causing a bleeding injury. Then he ran away from the house after grabbing his mother’s gold jewellery and her pension money.
Alarmed by the cries of Pagidamma, the neighbours rushed to her house and found her dead. Then they informed the police, who arrived at the scene and shifted the body to Bhadrachalam Area Hospital for postmortem. The police registered a case and investigation is going on.
