Jagtial: The bodies of two women were found in Dharmasamudram tank in Jagtial town on Thursday afternoon. Though the exact reason for their death is not yet known, local people and police suspected they died by commiting suicide by jumping into the tank.
Police said, three women including a girl Akkaldevi Gangajala, Vandana and Mallika, residents of Upperipeta of Jagtial town, went missing on Wednesday. While two women were married, the girl was studying intermediate. The bodies of Gangajala and Mallika were found in Dharmasamudram tank on Thursday. Local residents who found bodies in the tank alerted the police. Knowing about the incident, police rushed to the spot and retrieved bodies and launched a search operation for Vandana.
Since the trio are relatives and residents of the same locality, a pall of gloom descended in their area with the death of the two women. Jagtial town CI Kishore visited the spot and said investigation is going on.
