Hyderabad : Burglars broke into an Urban Primary Health Centre Jam Bagh in Hyderabad and stolen Covid Vaccine 27 vials of COVISHIELD, 17 vials of COVAXIN and a few other vaccines on Sunday.
While the government has started giving booster doses to senior citizens and frontline workers, and lakhs of people are waiting for their turn, two miscreants broke into the Jambagh PHC under mirchowk Police Station limits and stole several vials of COVID-19 and other vaccines.
They did not stop with that. While on their way out, they also removed the tyres of an auto-rickshaw that was parked on the UPHC premises and took them away.
The auto was used by the staff to move around in the locality for door to door immunization of children.
The burglary came to light on Monday morning when the medical staff came to the UPHC centre and noticed that the lock on the main door was broken. On being alerted, the Mirchowk police inspected the spot and called in a CLUES team which collected fingerprints from some articles.
