Hyderabad: the Cyberabad Police Commissioner’s Cyber ​​Crime Cell has warned people to look at the “lucky wheels” they receive on their WhatsApp and from suspicious websites to phone forwarding messages and fake reports.

The cyber crime cell received a number of complaints, among which the complainants were lured by “wheel” on the pretext of winning the prize.

there are traitors waiting for people to spin the wheel so that they can lure them. Currently, many such phishing links that redirect a lucky spin wheel are circulating on social media, especially WhatsApp.

After clicking a forwarded link on your WhatsApp, the link redirects a user to a spinning wheel, after spinning, a pop-up appears saying “You’ve won a mobile or prize” . It then asks the user to share it with others to claim the prize.

Officials of the cyber crime cell say that user data is being tampered with by these fraudsters through these links.

In view of the increase in the prevalence of such links, the cybercrime cell has listed a cautionary advisor to take precautionary measures:

*Do not click on the links circulating in the social media platform.

*Verify and know the actual links and sites to which you are redirected.

*Do not believe gift offers online / rewards.

*Do not click on any link as your personal data may be compromised
