Hyderabad: A badly mutilated body of a woman was found near railway tracks in Ankushpur under Ghatkesar police station limits on Monday evening
The body of a woman between the ages of 35 and 45 was found in the bushes near the railway tracks by a railway man who alerted the police.
On information, the Ghatkesar police reached the spot and brought the dead body to a clear place from the bushes.
Police suspect that some people may have murdered the woman and burnt her face by dipping them with flammable material to conceal her identity. Senior police officers visited the scene and are monitoring the investigation.
Police said whether the woman was sexually assaulted or not will be known only after the autopsy.
N. Chandra Babu, SHO Ghatkesar Police Station said that three teams were formed by the police to identify and investigate the woman.
A case is filed by the police.The body has been shifted to the mortuary of Osmania Hospital for postmortem examination.
