Hyderabad: Boeing 737 passenger plane crash site found Says Navy.The Sriwijaya Air jet #SJ182 was carrying 62 people when it disappeared from radars four minutes into its journey. More than 10 ships have now been deployed to the site with navy divers.
“Indonesian rescuers pulled out body parts, pieces of clothing & scraps of metal from the Java Sea early Sunday morning, a day after Boeing 737-500 with 62 people onboard crashed shortly after takeoff from Jakarta, officials said.”
Even before the latest crash, more people had died in air cashes in Indonesia than in any other country over the past decade, according to Aviation Safety Network’s database.
Indonesia National Transport Safety Committee chief Soerjanto Tjahjono said the locations of Flight SJ 182’s two black boxes had been identified.
