Hyderabad: An employee of GHMC who was involved in the crime of illegally applying water connection to the owner of a property in Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad.
For this, a criminal case has been registered against an employee of GHMC,with Rajendra Nagar Police on Thursday.
Inspector of the Vigilance Wing of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS & SB) A Tirupati raided a property located at Shiva Sai Colony, Rajendra Nagar, under a special operation on illegal water connections, in which GHMC employees were found to be involved.
Anjaneyulu, (previously worked as Works Inspector under the Budwel section at HMWS and SB), on deputation, and now working at GHMC, Rajendra Nagar Circle.
The vigilance officer of HMWS and SB said, “Based on the property owner’s confession statement, he revealed about Anjaneyulu’s initiative in installing the illegal water connection,”
two criminal cases have been registered at the Rajendra Nagar police station, against the civic body employee and also against the owner of the property having illegal water connection, at rajendra nagar police station based on the property owner statement and a complaint lodged by the manager of HMWS&SB, added the vigilance official
