A 40 year old man was murdered by assailants at a graveyard in Kachiguda on Friday night. According to Kachiguda police during the early hours of Saturday.“A passerby alerted us through ‘Dial 100’ about the body of a man lying near the electric crematorium on Saturday morning. Unknown assailants bludgeoned him to death,” Kachiguda inspector Md Habeebullah Khan said.Police immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the body for post mortem.With the help of locals the police were able to establish the identity of the victim as Krishna, a painter from Basheer bagh. Krishna was a native of Adilabad for the past few years he had been working as a painter in the city.During the investigation police found out that the victim had consumed liquor on Friday night at the graveyard along with Mujeeb, a hotel worker from Sundar Nagar in Kachiguda.Police immediately picked up Mujeeb during the interrogation he confessed his crime. After consuming liquor, Mujeeb asked Krishna to give some money to buy some more liquor. When Krishna refused, Mujeeb picked up an argument and bludgeoned him to death using a boulder, said inspector.
