Telangana Police bans border, denies entry of covid ambulance from AP

Hyderabad: Telangana police are blocking ambulances carrying covid patients from Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad.

The Telangana Police is conducting intensive inspections at the state border at Ramapuram in Kodada mandal in Suryapeta district and Pullur tollgate in Kurnool district. Ambulances going with covid patients are being sent back.

Covid patients are not allowed in the state of Telangana as cases of coronavirus are widely reported in Andhra Pradesh.

On the other hand, the police said that there are no beds or oxygen in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Kurnool police reached Pullur tollgate and spoke to Telangana police. Ambulances are being left for Telangana with the guarantee of hospitals. While other vehicles are allowed as usual.

On the other hand, curfew is going on in Andhra Pradesh and only vehicles are allowed on the Telangana border to andhra pradesh from 6 am to 12 noon.

After that, there is no entry for vehicles. DGP Gautam Sawang suggested that those who go immediately should take an e-pass, which will be released from Monday.
