Hyderabad: Food delivery and e-commerce services resumed in Hyderabad after being clarified by DGP Mahendra Reddy that essential services would not be stopped.
Accordingly, orders have been issued to the Police Commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachkonda.
This has come to the notice of Minister KT Rama Rao after the police seized the vehicles of the delivery executive. On Friday, police intercepted the vehicles of the food delivery executive at LB Nagar, Patny X Road and Khairtabad, as the delivery executive started protesting to allow them to perform their duties.
In a tweet, KT Rama Rao assured the food delivery executive to resolve the matter, who later spoke to DGP Mahendra Reddy to allow the movement of food delivery executive on the city streets.
DGP Mahendra Reddy also said that there was a meeting with three police commissioners regarding the disruption of essential services including food delivery and directed to ensure a uninterrupted supply going forward under strict lockdown.
