Hyderabad: The minor boy died and another sustained serious injuries after riding on a motorcycle and came under a moving truck near Medchal ITI on Monday.
The victims were identified as D Narasimha-14years old and his cousin K Babu-15years old, residents of the village of Athvelly in Medchal.
According to the police, the incident took place at 10 am when the two were going from Athvelly towards Medchal on a bike operated by Narasimha. When they reached a U-turn near ITI, Narasimha, who was driving recklessly and was not wearing a helmet, tried to overtake a truck.
Police said he is believed to have suddenly applied the brakes, after which the bike slipped and both youths fell off the bike
Narasimha came under the front tyre of the truck and died on the spot, while Babu suffered serious injuries and is undergoing treatment. Medchal police registered a case and are investigating.
