Hyderabad: A man who attempted suicide by going live on the social media platform was rescued by police in Uppal on Sunday night.
Rachkonda police said they received information from Dial-100 that a caller reported on social media about a man who committed suicide.
Officials said they received a call at 9.26 pm on Sunday night and the IT wing of Rachkonda traced the location of the man who attempted suicide, and shared the location with Uppal police at 9.45 pm. By the time police arrived, they found him with wrist injuries.
Immediately, he was transferred to the hospital and was rescued. Police said he attempted suicide due to depression
