Hyderabad: A mechanic was killed in Begumpet on Wednesday night after an argument over petty issues.
According to the police, Mohammed Moinuddin 45 years old had a mechanic workshop at Pattigadda under the limits of Begumpet police station.
On Wednesday evening, he was closing his shop, when the suspect, Ghouse, was passing along the store. Moinuddin, who was in conversation with a friend, told him that Ghouse had previously helped him.
Ch Muthyam Raju, sub inspector, Begumpet police station said that “Ghouse who was reportedly in an inebriated condition picked up a quarrel with Moinuddin for discussing about him with his friend. During the fight, Ghouse took a big stone and hit on the head of Moinuddin.
Moinuddin, who was seriously injured in the attack, was rushed to a government hospital where he died during treatment in the early hours of Thursday.
Begumpet police have registered a case against Ghouse and efforts are on to arrest him.
