Miyapur Function Hall to be made a 30 bed covid care Center

Hyderabad: As Hyderabad is facing a shortage of oxygen beds for Covid-19 patients in government and private hospitals, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is soon going to provide 30-bed covid-19 care facility with oxygen supply to the Miyapur,Where all services will be provided free of charge.

Due to lack of hospital beds and oxygen supply, GHMC came to the rescue of the patients by setting up an isolation and quarantine facility for mild and asymptomatic Covid-19 patients.

30-bed covid care facility in a community hall at Huda Colony in Miyapur within a week with an alarming increase in positive cases and a shortage of beds in hospitals.

Subsequently, covid care facility will soon be in several community halls in the West zone.

Zonal Commissioner of the West zone – GHMC Ravi Kiran said, “As Hyderabad fights the second wave of covid, the civic bodies are voluntarily helping out and within a week, about 30 bed set up in community halls from GHMC, which has started setting up a covid care facility in Miyapur.

“In addition to arranging doctors and paramedical staff at covid Care, we are providing tele-medicines for people with mild symptoms or asymptomatic infections. Nursing staff along with police personnel will be stationed at the center, 24X7 ambulance services will be kept on call .”

In addition, covid care will be a isolation and quarantine facility for mild and asymptomatic patients.

In collaboration with private and IT companies, GHMC plans to expand the facility to other community halls in the city as well.

However, the situation remains in Hyderabad on Saturday with the deaths of 56 covid-19 people, while 7,430 fresh cases reported the infection to 4,50,790.
